For this first edition of Live in Brigittines we have commissioned Mercedes Dassy, the face of the Belgian dance revival. Her work straddles dance, theatre, performance and video, but she is also fascinated by the iconic figure of the singer. That is why we offered her ten days to develop an in situ artistic experiment.

Laissez-la danser: with our imagination, we search for the fruit of a moment of joy, a form of exquisite beauty, like a cry of hope. So let her dance a performance as an expression of ultimate resistance, as vital, essential energy, before it is too late and to prevent everything from collapsing.
