With seven dancers suspended between memory and imagination, Shiraz transports audiences into a world of restrained ecstasy and hypnotic movement. Like a shimmering web of gestures, the performance revives the spirit of the legendary Shiraz-Persepolis Festival in Iran, which flourished between 1967 and 1977.
Balancing homage with dreamlike reconstruction, Armin Hokmi composes a subtle choreography infused with a profound love of art and the intoxicating joy it can inspire.
