How About Now is a dance theatre piece for two performers, depicting an unstable world where the smallest spark can set it ablaze. 

In a glass box sealed like a shop window, still lit up long after night has fallen, two characters meet. They are lonely figures you might encounter in the big city evoked by the dim neon lights. One addresses the other, and so it begins.

Through a powerful combination of dance, spoken word, light and music, the piece explores provocation, trust and the hesitant start of a relationship that seems to be constantly undermined by the present that constantly negotiates its way between mistrust, violence and desire.

Inspired by the play Monsieur Bonhomme et les Incendiaires (The Arsonists) by Swiss playwright Max Frisch, How About Now relies as much on the performers’ phrasing as on the dance itself.

A German dancer and choreographer living in London, Hannes Langolf is the star of the latest shows by the renowned DV8 Physical Theatre company. He has collaborated with artists such as William Forsythe, Angelin Preljocaj, Wayne McGregor and Akram Khan, while also pursuing an intense teaching and training career.
