Electro-bass sounds set the pace: fast, deep and powerful.
In the middle of the room, in the half-light, stands a square stage like a boxing ring. The audience surrounds it, while behind the scenes two control rooms interact with one another. On stage, the two women dance with a sense of urgency and an insatiable desire.
Shout Twice is an experience at the intersection of a concert and a performance, driven by the overwhelming energy of its performers, with its tracks, its build-up and its pauses. Everything revolves around the liberating exhilaration carried by sound, a call to come together, the raw material of a performance that transforms the space, the listening experience and the bodies: little by little, the audience is swept along.
Melissa Guex collaborated on Bless This Mess with Katerina Andreou, a group work presented at the 2024 Kunstenfestivaldesarts at KVS. With this first joint creation, they are coming to Les Brigittines for the first time.
