Chiara Bersani is an Italian artist of exceptional presence, an arresting body on stage whose work turns the notion of the political body into lived, breathing reality. A body that steps forward and learns to sculpt its own agency through action. In her performances, as in the masterclasses she offers, she invites participants to explore how a body might become a political body – a living choir – an instrument of freedom and social transformation.
The masterclass begins with disarmingly simple questions: What space can we imagine into being when our bodies come together? What new narrative can our gestures write that words cannot? What quiet, secret language allows us to communicate, listen and truly understand one another in this shared space?
To lean towards... to make the effort to attune oneself, to tune into the other, or others, to open to the web of relations that emerges when bodies meet.
