The stage is a bare yet inhabited space, poised as if on a tightrope, suspended between lightness, humour and intensity. Movements and intentions sway delicately between the pull of the abyss – echoing our turbulent times and overwhelming passions – and the longing for a playful, sensitive, at times jarring, yet always fleeting suspension.
The six performers in Margherite are driven by a fierce desire to live. Together, they seek an enduring impulse, one that refuses to fade. Loving, doing and (re)starting to become variations of a vital gesture. Like the slow plucking of a daisy’s petals, they explore the unpredictability of chance with wit and a freshness that always reveal more than it lets on.
