Concert
Urban Nature, the new theme of the biennial Ars Musica festival, looks at nature, landscapes and the plant world as an inspiring and engaging focus for musical contemporary creation. Combined with the concept of urbanity (city, architecture), Urban Nature introduces multiple spaces, both sonically and musically, that constitute the leitmotif of this new edition.
Les Brigittines welcomes the new creation by Compagnie Khroma / Marianne Pousseur & Enrico Bagnoli, Tragédie d'un regard. A theatrical, musical, visual and choreographic performance inspired by the moment Orpheus turned to look at Eurydice, this new work explores the relationship between the arts, their language and their emotional transmission.
The programme also includes the Oh! Satie Days! On the eve of the centenary of the composer's death, four concerts open to all, featuring interpretations, quotations and arrangements of his works, as well as new works by Gavin Bryars and Claire Vailler, performed by François Mardirossian, and by MUS-E, Grazyna Bienkovski and Pierrejean Gaucher.
