Chapel, 20’

Two women sway, entangled in a tight-knit intimacy, recounting the world’s violence and how they are trying to protect themselves from it together. Their intimate movements are set to the rhythm of the quatrains of an ancient lament, Les anneaux de Marianson, which tells of the cruelty of jealousy and the blindness of revenge.

But the story is lost in the music’s hallucinatory throbbing and the sensuality of the dance.
