This is how Alexander Vantournhout appears, alone, as if he has stepped out of time and mythology, like the great Thor himself. On a stage as round as the globe, constantly spinning, he measures the space and then, surreptitiously, confronts a mass. Between him and the hammer he is wielding, there is a balance of power.

Who takes over? No one. All is peace and quiet, perfect harmony. This Thor, who is nothing like the stereotypes of male glorification, is all about mastering his strength, his masculinity if you like, peacefully and benevolently. A sculptural moment full of expectation. Impeccable aesthetics.
